Mr. Chen Wei specializes in the applied mechanical engineering aspects of patent protection.
Chen Wei's patent expertise covers a variety of areas of mechanical engineering including automotive manufacturing, construction engineering, printing device, communication device, agriculture machinery, household appliances and other household goods.
Mr. Chen has handled a large number of patent applications and advised in numerous patent cases. He also has provided legal services to major international clients in patent application/inquiry/search, patent re-examination and invalidation, patent infringement analysis, patent administrative proceedings, patent tort proceedings, administrative investigation and disposition of patent infringement, licensing and assignment of patents and know-how, and other related matters related to intellectual property rights.
Work Experience
Chen Wei joined King & Wood in 2006. Before joining King & Wood, he was a Patent Attorney at the Patent & Trademark Law Office of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade as well as a Japanese corporation for many years.
He graduated from Beijing Construction Engineering College with bachelor's degree in industrial and civil construction, and was admitted as Patent Attorney in 2002.
He is proficient in Chinese, and Japanese.
