Mr. Ding Liang specializes in International Trade, WTO dispute settlement, and antitrust and competition law.
In the area of WTO dispute settlement, Mr. Ding represented the Chinese government in China - IP Rights (WT/DS362); China - Subsidy (WT/DS358,359); Canada/US - Hormones Suspension (WT/DS320,321); EC/US - Aircraft (WT/DS316,317); US - DRAMS CVD Investigation (WT/DS296)(AB); EC - Biotech Products ("GMOs") (WT/DS291,292,293); Japan - Apples (21.5) (WT/DS245); and US - CVDs on EC Products (21.5) (WT/DS212).
In the area of antitrust and competition, Mr. Ding has advised clients in the software; beverages; telecommunications; finance; and chemical and pharmaceutical industries, on business models, pricing, and on market planning among affiliated companies or business partners. He has provided Anti-monopoly Law training for multinational companies and industry associations. He is coauthor of the Chapters, "Monopoly Agreements", "Abuse of Dominant Market Position" and "Abuse of IP Rights" in a CCH book regarding the Anti-Monopoly Law of China.
In the area of Section 337 Investigations, Mr. Ding provided legal services in Hair Irons (337-TA-637); Lighters (337-TA-575); Laminated Floor Panels (337-TA-545); and Antidegradants (337-TA-533) together with U.S. colleagues. Mr. Ding is also responsible for managing the design, planning, delivery, and evolution of the Firm's training to all lawyers and for coordinating training activities and training resources firm-wide.
Work Experience
Mr. Ding Liang joined King & Wood in 2003. Before joining King & Wood, he worked at the DC office of Dewey Ballantine LLP and at the International Law Institute.
Mr. Ding received his LL.M. from Georgetown University Law Center.
Mr. Ding is proficient in Chinese and English.
