Ms. Kalley Chen specializes in venture capital financing, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, and technology licensing.
She has extensive experience in technology-based venture capital financing; stock option planning; intellectual property protection and strategic planning; trademark and copyright prosecution, enforcement, and anti-counterfeiting; and technology licensing and acquisitions.
Ms. Chen provides counseling on international IPR strategic planning with a focus on China. In addition to trademark and copyright prosecution, she advises on cross-border technology licensing, acquisitions and business reorganizations. She also assists clients in preparing anti-counterfeiting plans in China, cancellations, invalidations, and litigation.
Work Experience
Prior to joining King and Wood in 2000, she worked with Lee and Li Attorneys at Law in Taipei, and Law & Arthur in California.
She received an LL.B. degree from Soochow University in Taipei, her LL.M. degree in Comparative Law from Southern Methodist University School of Law, Dallas, and her J.D. degree from Golden Gate University in San Francisco. Ms. Chen is a licensed bar member in the state of California.
