Areas of Practice
Mr. Kenneth Choy specializes in cross-border financing, investment, mergers and acquisitions, and technology-related transactions involving intangible assets, intellectual property rights and cross-border disputes.
He has advised and counseled international clients on the enforcement of intellectual property rights and commercial disputes, compliance and dispute resolution matters. He has served as chief legal officer of an international technology group in China and general counsel of an international toy company. He has also practiced with solicitors’ firms advising clients on licensing, distribution, agency, franchising and branding matters, cross-border transactional and investment matters relating to intangible assets and IP rights, as well as counseling on cross-border dispute-resolution matters.
Work Experience
Before, joining our firm, Mr. Choy was a partner with a California-based law firm.
Mr. Choy is the Honorary Secretary of the Intellectual Property Committee of the Hong Kong Chamber of Small and Medium Business, the legal advisor to the Hong Kong Jewelry Designers Association, and the Small Medium Enterprise representative for the Regulatory Affairs Advisory Committee and the Office of Telecommunications Authority, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government. He is also involved with the Hong Kong Intellectual Property Society and the Hong Kong Designers Association and other business associations. He graduated from San Francisco State University with a B.A. degree and obtained a J.D. from the Northeastern University School of Law. He also holds a Diploma from the National Institute of Trial Advocacy. He has been admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong, and attorney and counselor at law in New York and California, the United States.
Mr. Choy is proficient in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
