Ms. Xu Xiaodan, a partner at King and Wood, specializes in the areas of labor law, employment litigation and cross-border dispute resolution.

She has extensive experience in advising on complex labor and employment matters to provide strategic solutions. Her clients include many leading companies doing business in China. She counsels corporate clients on individual and collective employment contracts, establishing employment guidelines, restructuring human resources management, designing merger and winding-up strategies, contracts for outsourcing services, reviewing individual and group redundancy schemes and conducting U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act internal investigations. In addition, Ms. Xu frequently represents state-owned banks, publically-traded companies and foreign companies in labor arbitrations, employment litigations and judicial appeals.

Ms. Xu also specializes in resolving international commercial disputes related to cross-border trade, foreign direct investment, equity disputes, banking, financial services and securities, and product liability claims. In particular, she has completed a number of complex domestic and international litigation and arbitration cases over million dollar liabilities or claims exposures. Ms. Xu is also active in providing advice on pre-trial matters and works closely with King & Wood’s business transaction teams on risk management.

Work Experience

Ms. Xiaon Xu joined King & Wood in 2000.

She obtained her LL.B. from Peking University in 2000 and received her LL.M. from King’s College London in 2005. She qualified as a PRC lawyer in 2002.

She is proficient in both English and Chinese.
