Located in the center of one of the worlds foremost finance centers, our Tokyo office opened in January of 2005 to link our Chinese clients to this important hub of Asia investment banking, insurance, technology and manufacturing. This office also provides a contact point for our Japanese based clients for their investment and intellectual property interests in mainland China.
King & Wood's Tokyo office was the first office in Japan opened by a leading Chinese law firm. The office, registered as King & Wood Foreign Law Office, is a business alliance with Miyake & Yamazaki, a Tokyo-based law firm.
Currently, the Tokyo office has three PRC lawyers and a number of other professional staff. Many of them are foreign legal counsels licensed in Japan and have extensive experience in the areas of finance, mergers and acquisitions, foreign investment, intellectual property and international arbitration.
